unidentified 1980s miniature

Hi. Could someone help me identify this miniature from the 1980s. It looks like a Nick Lund Chronicle hobgoblin but I can't find a photo of it anywhere.

That looks more Japanese or maybe Chinese to me than Kobold. His face looks pretty human and the arms and armor are consistent with old pre-slotta Citadel Samurai. Just can't find that particular pose. I'd look through older Oriental and Samurai ranges. This probably won't help me any, but it might help others: Are there any markings on the bottom of the base? Lovely old miniature, though maybe he needs some attention pronto to keep him lovely.

Often I think Nick Lunds Chronicle range great character designs are let down by the sculpting, but in this case I think it all adds up to a very nice little piece.
