Undead of vistenholder

My beginning in the world of warhammer begin with an undead army. In 1990, i knew a group of gamers, became next friends, who played at warhammer battle. In this period, in FRANCE, very few shops sell mini but ENGLAND was just at 40 km and 1 or 2 time by year, my group of gamer invade CANTERBURY for to buy lot of minis.
We don't have undead army in your group and i'm very interested by these mini so undead army choice him.
My first choice was Hienrich Kemmler and I can show you TODAY a picture of this with a group of metal skeletons :

banner was drawing on paper and paint directly.

Very, very nice. Love the painting style on the bones and of course the banner! These could have been in one of Bryan's cabinets!

Very nice Kemmler, muted colours and natural looking bases.

Unfortunately due to a ban on national treasures leaving the UK you will have to send Kemmler to me.

An undead legion lead by Kemler have a huge impact in the eyes of the collectors here 8-) specially when the paint job is good  Congratulation ;)

Banner, skels and bases are nice too.

Dusty and rusty skellies, jus tthe way I like them.

The banner is ace, I mean, why do we not think about red skulls more often, skulls were meant to be red and that's one other proof.

A second picture of undead with a focus on another metal skeletons lead by a liche. For me, undead are dark, rusted, and i used lot of brown and dark wash on clothes, corps and pieces of armour.

Rest of metal mini with 8 gouls, hienrich kemmler, a vampire and another necro:

i post a picture before and after a re-paint of this mini.

I show you a picture of my vampires chief, a little squad of women and men who need your blood. In this squad, the vampire in the middle with is skin blue is vistenholder my second mini painted in my fife 23 years ago. I passed many hours on oop Isabella, i would try multiple layers on the dress and i very proud of this mini ( painted 12 years ago).

The second picture gather 1 blood dragon vampire and 1 necrarc+ 4 ghosts who lead my units. The blood dagon is based on a mini of mephiston with pole banner of an old krell+sword of abaddon. He was very simple to paint with black-basecoat and lot of red layers. i used 3 colours red, white and black. For the necrarc-vampire, i would show that he had a disease, so i do a pale green skin. This skin create a contrast with rest of mini.

Some ghosts ready for the battle :

They form a unit of 11 lead by a spectre. The paint is in rust-tone on armour and weapons.

Have to say I do love the 4th Ed Wights, shame they are a bugger to rank up. Well done on the painting too.

Next picture of my army of undead :
the black coach.
I change plastic horses for oop metal horses and he was painted in black, purple, grey and red a very simple color-scheme.
