The Warhost of Bosch

Just been sorting out the first batch of figures for my Oldhammer Dwarf Army... The Imperial Warhost of the Dwarven general, Harvold 'Harry' Bosch...

Harry, along with his two brothers - Thomaz and Ricard - led their army to take part in the Goblin Wars, seeing action at both Mad Dog Pass and the defence of Caraz-a-Carak to name but two of the many battles the army fought in, before its virtual destruction during the campaign of eradication between Blackfire Pass and Fire Mountain. A campaign of such brutality, that the Greenskins in a moment of rare lucidity, called it the 'War of Bones' as the valleys and mountain passes became littered with the corpses of Dwarves, Goblins and Orcs.

After the War of Bones, the survivors split into three small warbands, one under each Bosch brother heading to a different fallen Dwarven strongholds to try and reclaim it for their kin. Of Thomaz and Ricard, nothing more was heard, but of Harry... rumours tell of the fallen keep of Karak Azgal, his supposed destination, that is once more belching black fire from its furnaces, but no-one has yet returned to tell tales of what is there. For now, the Black Keep holds its secrets...

Great job on those! I like the bright yet naturalistic colours. I'll try to learn from your beards, the hair colours of mine just never seem so realistic. Looking forward to the full army!

I really don't know why but dwarves seem to attract fantastic painters, I don't really know what's the source of it (or if there's any truth in it) but I just keep seeing splendid dwarf armies when some others like OnGs and chaos get the best and worst... strange thing.
Great job on those really, their full of charm and character.
