For those of us of a certain age, there is something quite iconic about Oreon’s Elven Bowmen, one of the original Regiments of Renown from 1984/5. In my collection of old miniatures I had the original musician figure, so, after finding suitable shields on Etsy (from the excellent Celtic Miniatures), I decided it was time to begin kit bashing this legendary regiment anew using largely Oathmark parts. Recreating the Standard Bearer has been the hardest job thus far - the banner was sourced from a Gripping Beast Goth sprue and the head with feathered felt cap cobbled together from two heavily hacked up Human heads and an elf feather.
Well, here is the command (Oreon, Std Bearer, original musician and Champion) and the first trooper. Oreon himself has a GW High Elf archer head and is awaiting his distinctive eyepatch being added when I get round to getting a new pack of Miliput or Green Stuff.
Next up will be assembling the rest of the troopers.
