The beginnings of an empire army

Classic colour combination, and really well done. That yellow pops just perfectly, how do you do it?
Also, I like the dark metallics - makes the colour of the fabric pop more.

Very nice looking unit. Always been a fan of yellow/green combo and you've done a great job on it. Will look forward to seeing more from you.

As I said on your introduction post, very nice looking bunch of Imperials there. Love the banner in particular. Splendid stuff! :)

Thanks Fellas, the yellow is foundry's yellow triad. It took me most of the unit to get it right (so the last few got pride of place in the front rank) basically a white undercoat and then several layers of the foundry yellow shade until it was a solid colour, after that it's just the 2 lighter tones to highlight. I think the key is the solid base colour.
I'm doing a full 3000 points army so more will follow...slowly

Nice to see this observation as I had not been impressed with my use of the yellow triad. I’ll try your method!

Great looking bunch of models you’ve painted.
