The Ballet of the Brushes

(Not that I'm any good, mind you. But I play anyway.)

Same, here is my last efforts from years ago back when I had friends. I have done a solo Burzum cover (Lost Wisdom) but I don't have that any more.

I'm the singer/guitarist.

It does now, but I've not really practiced in over ten years and I'm not getting any younger, and I smoke a hell of a lot so my throat is ruined.
Tbh I never wanted to sing, but the vocalist we had kept forgetting lyrics or went out of time or sniffed too much devils dandruff or horse sleepy powder and never showed up to rehearsal so I ended up doing it.

When we recorded 'Down' I was ill with flu really bad, broke up with my partner a few days previously and was homeless, I was running off caffeine, night nurse and buttercup syrup, still got the job done.

Dedication. ;)

What would that be?

I have a collection, but I was thinking bass. (Or double bass. Der grosser Kontrabass.) I also play keys, so maybe I could find something local. Or rent. ;) But flying with miniatures was challenging enough. A double bass is about as maxi as things get without requiring a truck and possibly a crew. (The harpist has it worse, but only just. And she has a sweet dolley, and likely a small truck. I'm thinking about getting a beater truck to move one of those keyboards.)

If it is any help, let's meet at my place in Germany ;)

Ausgezeichnet! Wann und wohin? I haven't been to Germany in decades, so it's past time to head back. And maybe drag my Vietnamese wife along as revenge. (So she can find out what I live through every time we visit family. Though . . . I'm working on that. Slowly.) And also to introduce her to German food and all manner of other loveliness. :) I like this idea. I still won't bring my (German) instrument, but I could bring miniatures, maybe, or just myself and we could jam with a public piano or some such. :) Or if you're in Berlin I may know a guy with a piano school.

Dein Deutsch ist gut :) I live ~550km away from Berlin, Frankfurt am Main. But at least we got a working airport here, not like in Berlin ;)

I look forward to to hearing the first Oldhammer album... better come up with some names! Both for the band and the album. I'm sure there are some suitably cheesy ones out there - Harry and the Hammers and so forth.

Anyhow back to listening whilst painting ... I finally found half an hour to lift a brush and finish up my Ghouls (Heresy ones). Well when I say finish I mean ready for varnish - then I want to add a bit of gore, but since that needs to be shiny best done after the basic varnish. Anyhow to accompany my finishing up I thought I'd throw some In this Moment on in the background. Opting for the Black Widow album, which I think is a good all round album.
