After another long absence... life has been a bit tricky recently. Anyway, about a year ago one of my friends asked me if I wanted to play Necromunda. I still haven't, but I did start collecting mostly old and third-party genestealers (which has kind of snowballed into xenos in general and some small diorama-making). So here's the start of one project, Tertii Imperatoris Cultus - the Cult of the Third-Party Emperor. As usual many, many more photos on my blog.

Lovely stunning work, the bases in particular complement the theme beautifully. Right off to the blog to drool some more!
 
Patriarch on Throne is lovely mini for sure. Beautifully painted minis but that scenery piece with minis is back cover of White Dwarf worthy, gorgeous.
 
Absolutely brilliant. I am loving those genestealer/gretchin hybrids. And the fly saucer thingy. And the... genestealer/wookie(?)... on the back right. It's a wonderful collection and with an appropriate level of overkill on the hazard stripes.
 
You cannot argue with a good Genestealer cult and that is a VERY good cult. :) Lovely stuff. Especially glad to see the new dwarf hybrid sculpts getting paint.
 
Thanks everyone! I've got a couple more mini-dioramas on the go, but it'll be a while before they're finished. I find it quite hard to maintain focus to paint something that size. Maybe I'll put them in the work-in-progress section for now and hold myself accountable to finish them, rather than wait until this time next year though.

The hybrid squat seems popular - he's still in production from Uscarl Miniatures, as are the goblins. (not exactly "Old" but definitely "oldhammer"). All of their models so far have been super fun to paint, I've got another four to go I think. I'm kicking myself that I started this too late to get the famous hybrid ogryn though, I reckon that (and a couple of other fan sculpts) are going to elude me.

The "wooky" is a gen-ripper from CP Models - more a bear (or cudbear, it has the webbed ears) and might have started its life here on this forum. I know that their daemon-hybrid (which is also in my painting queue) did.

Great selection of stealers and wonderful paint jobs and bases. Glad to see you went with green Hyborks it's the only proper orky colour.
 
I'm not happy with these and not sure if they're really "old"... maybe the C'tan Shard of the Nightbringer sneaks into the bracket, and the Razorwing Bats from Trolls Under The Bridge have the right ethos. I'm planning to add some zombies from Die Hard too, which are sort of old-new. Anyway this thread is probably the best place to put them:
