Table bookings are open & 'selling' fast

Hope to join others in participation games as don’t have the materials to run a table. Guess more details will be posted when they are ready?
Does Garth post on here, or has he migrated exclusively to the evil empire (i.e. social media)?

Wow, you're not kidding they're filling up fast! I was half tempted to run something, but I think there's exactly three slots left, and . . . coming across an ocean, maybe it's best to let the locals run stuff. (Unless you want to play Full Thrust with Oldhammer miniatures. The spice helps me fold space so I can fit it in my carryon. Probably the fish sauce if you want to get particular about which spice.)

There's usually some flexibility on the day and Garth is pretty good at finding table space for people. In addition, chances are that some will pack up early to enjoy Newark nightlife and there might even be a no show or two. All this said, if I was flying long distance with old lead, I'd be packing light.

You should also take that booking a table as a request, as it doesn't always get you a table, there is usually some discretion. Particularly, if, there's a large waiting list, as to who is planning the best display, participation or specialist game and when you intend the play (Friday and Sunday are fairly open, Saturday it's going to be busy). So, it's occassionally worthwhile contact Garth directly and punting your idea, the harder the sell and better the preparation the more likely something might happen. Just my two pennies worth.

Hence, I've booked Friday and Sunday for Space Fleet Demo, leaving me free for Saturday to join in something else.

And I'm a little torn anyway. Full Thrust is a great space combat game, and I'll surely bring some space miniatures, since most of mine are Space Fleet anyway, but maybe another space combat game would be too much. It's just . . . comparitively easy to pack for an international flight. But something like Pulp Alley plays well on small tables, is great fun, and maybe isn't so familiar. But begs for a little more terrain. So maybe I should just ignore running a game and bring miniatures for participation games. It's only my second time anyway, so maybe it's best to just sit back and play other games again. :)
