TA7 Chaos Battering Ram

Shaitan

This is arguably one of my favourite citadel pieces. I spent years searching for it back in the pre ebay days only to keep it stored unmade in a box for years once I had acquired one. I finally bit the bullet and made it a few months ago.

There are a few more pictures of this on my blog:

Nicely done! I do like that model, but it didn't sell that well, I remember we had boxes of these at the Eastwood factory.

I ended up cutting up two of 'em to make an Orc siege tower back in the day, when Warhammer Siege came out!

Cheers guys.
Yeah I remember Southampton GW had a lot of them kicking about; even as late on as around 1990.
Wow, I'd like to see your creation, Dieselmonkey. They ain't the easiest things to build.

Nice one Ed !

I really like this model like the chaos snake men (both Chaz Eliott's work) because they have just the right ratio of fantasy/realism for my taste. Your paint job has just the same ratio which makes it look at its best. On elittle thing is I wouldn't have glued the wheels in the same direction but it's just me being picky. The scenary you added is simple enough not to distract the eye and it has such an oldschool charm...

Splendid work, really.

Ha! Yeah, you're right JB; there is a wheel on the other side which was at a turning different to the others. Should have done something about it at the time but it was too late in the end. I kept the base very simple so not to take the focal point away from the miniature plus it needed to be on flat terrain really.
It truly is a remarkable sculpt. It captivated me when I was 9 and it still does now nearly 30 years on.

Looks stunning, is it actually attached to the base or can you remove it for gaming purposes?
