These are superb! For me, Christmas 1987: marking the move from enamels. I still have my tub of enchanted blue. Hard as stone but can't throw it out!
A skull white from a few years later has miraculously revived itself and is my current active white paint.
My friend got the Monster set - that had the exciting colours (and a useful brown if I'm not getting mixed up). Do you have a bilious green or [12 year old sniggers] titilating pink?
That's a nice gift, I remember those! Clearing out my mum's attic for her move in early 2025 I threw out all my old paints as they were all rock solid. But I did keep a sealed hex pot of goblin green.
Nice gift! I'd be tempted to leave the pots sealed tbh, even with the rosiest of rose tinted spectacles on, paints have improved massively in the last 40 years. Some of those seemed to have so little pigment in it was like painting with dishwater!
