These are superb! For me, Christmas 1987: marking the move from enamels. I still have my tub of enchanted blue. Hard as stone but can't throw it out!

A skull white from a few years later has miraculously revived itself and is my current active white paint.

My friend got the Monster set - that had the exciting colours (and a useful brown if I'm not getting mixed up). Do you have a bilious green or [12 year old sniggers] titilating pink?

The paint pots (aside from Skull White) are all sealed… Some liquid sloshing around in them still, so hopeful can revive them!

Have mentioned on here before that had nearly all the old range still on boxes before the purge… so this was a mega nostalgia rush for me too!

That's a nice gift, I remember those! Clearing out my mum's attic for her move in early 2025 I threw out all my old paints as they were all rock solid. But I did keep a sealed hex pot of goblin green.

Nice gift! I'd be tempted to leave the pots sealed tbh, even with the rosiest of rose tinted spectacles on, paints have improved massively in the last 40 years. Some of those seemed to have so little pigment in it was like painting with dishwater!

Wow! I had a number of these sets from that time and regret binning the lot before I left for the States. Those paints have the best pigment ratio. Closest I'd ever found to them were the original P3 range.
Very envious.

Love them boxes and most of the paints themselves, which I'm still regularly using: I got them back in the day, with the exception of the metallic and SM sets

Love them so much, indeed, that a few years ago I even got some bargain doubles

Hoping someone can help me. I need a replacement for my nearly gone pot of citadel 'shining Gold paint. I looked at a paintchart which suggested 'gehenna's Gold but when it turned up I found it was way more orange ! From looking on GW site they do a couple of other golds Liberator and Auric...
