Start off with Dettol which breaks down the paint, scrub off most of the paint with an old tooth brush and if still stubborn (and if a metal mini!) dunk in a jar of acetone to dissolve whatever remains.

Have you tried it with plastics and resins?This finnish paint stripper is the absolute best thing I tried. Not cheap but it's also biologically degradable.

I tried with plastics without problems (never did more than a couple of days, tho) with very good results (better than ISO alcohol, degreaser etc.) but not with resin figures.Have you tried it with plastics and resins?
As an aside I do love the way the sales page says "no solvents", then you look at the technical data and the main ingredient is a solvent. I mean pretty obvious because otherwise it's not going to do a lot to paint, but you gotta love the marketing!
