Here's the Squad Leader...old school Las PistolI'd love to see the rest of your Squats, they were some of the first miniatures I ever bought and whilst it was a bit of a pain re-collecting them they are still amongst my favourites. I love the chap with the cheery grin - eat my lascannon! Are these your original "childhood" paint jobs or have you redone them more recently?
The more woodland type green rim with more of a brown top is quite novel, nice change from the goblin green!

There's also an enjoyable weight to them. Hard to explain, but they feel solid miniatures. Quite literally!I loved the squats. Heavy metal heroes. with shades, cigars and they cancel the 2" move impediment for heavy weapons.
I reason they're white as they're Whiteshields in an Imperial Army group...not that I can't decide which colour to go with...cough cough (sheepish look). It looks quite good solid yellow, but then I like the old white and red half's. Never have time these days. Boo.Love 'em. The huge bolter section in particular. I can see like me you have yet to figure out quite what to put on those patches/badges! The black lining lends itself well to these models I think, sets off the faces nicely. I really must get back to painting up the riders for my bikes (at least the bikes are done).
