Erik Morki's Winter Wolves.
I wanted to share my first army with you that I did when I got back into the hobby after 15 years.
This has been a project which took me about 2 years and these guys have seen a fair bit of action in 6th edition games.
The fluff behind old Erik ~Morki - with the two headed wolf badge is that he is a master of stealth. He supposedly has many scouts. Well, I have no scouts but thought that white armour would help the marines camouflage in the snow. Plus I made Erik ride a two headed wolf - a product of the iron priests and wolf priests genetic manipulation.
The models are a real mix of old and new and I was still drawn to painting all of the classics after so much had changed in the time I had been away.
The lead models are still the best.
I believe some of my best paintings are the Rune priests and Wolf priests, and I have tried to maintain a standard throughout the army. Which is why the white armour took so bloody long!
The space orks have been a joy to paint in comparison.
Enjoy
