Space Marine's are go!

Hi all,

I've got a bit of a strange request, not sure where to post it, but here goes;

I'm wondering if anyone has an RBT01 SM box? An empty one in good condition? Or a good scan of one? Oh no....I used the "s" word

The reason? I'm not trying to make a complete box set so that I can flog it off on the Evilbay, no sir! What I'd like to do (and what I would have been able to do if I wasn't so silly as to throw mine away all those years ago) is to blow it up to about double or maybe even triple it's size. Then I'll make a box & cover it in RBT01 goodness and use it as a mini case.

I've been thinking about this for a while, but I've either not been able to find one in good enough condition, or they've asked way too much for them

If you have any other solutions to my request, I'm all ears, just PM me.

Might be worth looking out for the poster that came out for 25th Anniversary? It's already nearly A3, and is the cover art from the RTB01 box:

It'd be easier just to add the logo to the top left than to blow up a not-too-great scan.

I've got the poster & I think I'd be able (even with my meagre PC skills) to put the logo in it's proper place. But it wouldn't be the same as having the box with all the side & rear artwork with it

I'm not even sure if the definition of the original box art would be good enough to blow up anyway. I'd like to give it a try though

You mean from the original artwork for the 1st print run of the box? Or did they do that later on?

I can't remember if that was there on the very first one's

Well it clearly wasn't an attempt to dumb down the image judging by the amount of wounded marines still shown and the blood spattered all over the 'Imperial' logo.

Must have just been in the way a bit.

Yeah, I think having an ork head in the title bar would have been a bit of a detraction from the marines. Personally, I always thought it looked a bit awkward anyway.
