Some beastmen bro

Work on my beastmen is progressing. Just finished undercoating & preshading about 30 or 40 of the old bastard's about a week ago. I'm about half way through painting up the first four. I can only upload three images per post, so I'll upload the other guy in another post. Apologies for the picture quality, night time phone pic's

The last dude, failed attempt at Mr Don Hans' brass armour technique.....still turned out good though I think. I've still got a fair bit left before his done.

I rather like that weathered brass. Even if it doesn't look how you intended it to, it looks effective to me!

I agree with Rab on the last one's armour (it's a little tinny, but otherwise is nicely 'weathered').

They're looking good so far. Now get to work on finishing them and all the other so we can see the complete group shot! (I am such a hypocrite!)

I think the bear/dog/mouse one is my favourite of the sculpts, but I like the job on the Nurgley Ram the most.

Good work, looking forward to seeing more. I'm definitely going to try and do more weird skin tones like you have.

Thanks for the compliments guys,

@antipixi, I'm trying my hardest to get them all done, but perfection takes time

As for the armour, it actually looks better than the pic's I took, honest! I just couldn't get the damn shine off it with my desk lamp!!!!! I'll try and take some better shots when I'm done....... in daylight.

@Vyper, A couple of cool little details I only noticed after I started basecoating the ram guy was that there is a worm slithering out from his left nostril & a long trouser snake winding it's way out from under his kilt! The extra little details really make these minis more interesting to paint, instead of painting rank upon boring rank of mono pose modern stuff. But still, what a naughty little beastman ;)

With regards to the many & varied colour schemes for chaos, I find its a bit of a conundrum. You can go all crazy with the colours, but then there's the possibility of turned them into a rainbow army, but if you go the other way -bland central- they'll look awfully boring! I try to keep a foot in each camp.
