Nice to see some 4th edition fun. Trying to get my army of Kev Adams Gobbo Loons together at the moment as well as my sporadic collection of 4th edition gear completed.

4th Edition was the first for me. It arrived to Estalia in January 1994 and was completely in spanish, so became popular quite fast.

Love the "Herohammer" old battles!

It can be Herohammer indeed but these days I take a much more conservative approach, I rarely take Magic Items over 50pts and my characters tend to be at a minimum.

My High Elf General was armed with a lance, wore light armour, carried an Enchanted Shield (5pts), a Potion of Strength (10pts) and an Amulet of Fire (25pts), oh and rode a barded elven steed.

Admittedly his Silverhelm retinue was flying a Banner of Might (50pts) which affects the entire unit so I favour this kind of Magic Item over costly things that affect just the Character. It also puts more emphasis on the unit rather than the Character.
