Solid based space skeleton

Thanks to Weismonster, I just won a space skeleton for 1,2 £ but it is a solid based one. I 've never seen such a version before and wondered if any of you eve saw such one (or if it means recast...)

The base looks like harden putty that the tabs been wrapped in to form a cheap base.

Didn't think about this possibility but you might be right, cheers Chico. I hope it's the case because a night in acetone will free him of that nasty job and I'll have a undead cosmonaut to add to one of my bands

Bottom left there's a chip showing what looks like unpainted putty

Looked at that one myself - probably putty - although I did buy a lot of C47 militia once that had been cut from their slotta bases and then sunk into molten blobs of lead. Oddly they didn't have melted feet, and I eventually pulled, levered or cut them free! Pray it's milliput though - it was a nightmare to remove!
