Soapy's Sci Fi Deck Crew

photo%2B2-761133.JPG

I got these fellas to use an generic ships crew - they are not gnarly enough to be mechanicus, but they'd do for general duties. I deliberately left them quite plain so that they can serve as border guards, customs officers, clerical staff, etc.

You can see a few more pics below.

They look great! I wasn't convinced by the pics on the webstore...but now I'm thinking I could use a set of these!

You're really a Spaceball, you know that Vole, don't you?

In the absence of any actual understanding of what that means - I'm going to take that as a compliment.

Because if Paris Hilton has taught me anything - she's taught me that.

I like them a lot, they have that "Right guys, let's scout this red planet and get back to earth on time for the game" look that is irresistible. Models seem nice and the paintjob is a good one. I could definitley need some of these... Like I needed to add anything on the want/need list.

Nicely done Mr Vole. I didn't even realise that Woodbine did sci-fi.

On a slightly unrelated note the O'Hammerers are putting on a sci-fi game at Brocon in Limerick on the 19th July. If you are in the area or fancy a drive you're more than welcome.

I dunno what it means either really, but I meant it as a compliment!

Thank you very much for the invite squire. Unfortunately, I'll be working that day and the day after. Have a good one.

Speaking of unrelated notes - I got to run a game of Savage Worlds Rogue Trader the other day. Great fun and it was good to get the figures out and let 'em run around a bit. Highlight of the game was the ships astropath riddling a nasty kelp monster with an autogun. That and "praise the omnissiah and then hit it with a wrench".

Those look great! I picked up some of the other Gripping Beast/Woodbine not-Action Force figures recently for a project but overlooked these.

Im going to have to take another look at them now. Cool stuff.
