SMV2 - Gargants

Hey,

Quick couple of questions regarding SMV2 Ork Gargants:

How many weapon points does each type of Gargant get?
Can a Gargant take multiable weapons of the same type?
I can't find weapon costs in OaSW rulebooks, is this included in the Gargant card cost regardless of what you take?

If anyone knows, that'll be great.

I don't have the rules to hand but Gargants can have one belly gun, two arm weapons and two turret weapons. You can also have a gun on your gargants head. You can only have one Gatling Blaster per Gargant.

You're correct, the weapons are taken into account with the points cost of the Gargant and this means that Gargants do get a bit samey loadout wise. You tend to just have the weapons in slightly different locations. It was only when GW released the Metal Mickey Gargant that they added some more weapons to the mix and, even so, I tend to find that the armaments they come with as standard are pretty optimal.

Btw, don't expect to get into CC with Titans because you'll be to slow to engage them on your terms and it's not worth wasting an Imperial Titan in CC with a Gargant. Shame because Snappers are great fun for that.

Edited to add: I think all of these rules are clearer in Gargant sections in the SM Battles book. Also.. I don't think there's anything to stop you having two observation turrets or three flamer weapons etc but you won't end up with anything like some of the killer combos you can come up with using Imperial Titans.

What about Slasha Gargants? No where is it stated how many weapons they can take and I've done many a internet search on this and read though everything Epic wise I own (heh which is now just about everything) Personally I'm thinking it's just 2 arm weapons and belly gun, no Head and Turret weapons.

Correct. Slashas can only take the 2 arm weapons and a belly gun. Nothing else. The arm weapons are one of four and you can't mix and match Gargant weapons with Slasha weapons and vica verca. Can you have two of the same weapon on a Slasha? I can't see why not unless it specifically states otherwise.

Mekboy Gargants can only take 2 arm weapons and one shoulder weapon. The only thing you can choose is the shoulder weapon.
