ManicMan
Lord
weird title but ^_^
probebly just more a interesting list then anything but.. it peeked my interesting.. Skaven 'ranks' of wizards..
[December 1985] First Skaven miniatures but no magic ranks given
[1986] Clan Skrye only have Warlock Engineers mentioned as dealing with mixing magic and science. However, The Grey Seers are stated as a group above the clans and directly under the thirteen lords of Decay.
[1989] AHQ has a White Skaven Sorcerer, from this point on they work under Clan Skrye as advisors to the warlocks engineers and seam much less a major thing then stated before.
[1991] White Dwarf 134's HQ mission 'Halls of Durrag-dol has the 'White Seer'
[1991] 3rd Ed Armies book has.. well, 3rd allowed levels of power in models more then 4th ed did.. So there wizard chart used
Seers (Lv 5), Warpweavers (Lv 10), WarpSquealers (lv 15), White Skaven Sorcerer (Lv 20) and Grey Seer (Lv 25)
[1993] 4th Ed, only have Grey Seers (with.. the new magic levels have it as lv 4, and a slightly higher points cost then 3rd Ed)
As noted on Gideon's great history of WFRP, Skaven were kinda fully formed when released but there are some notable changes and tweeks.. like this bit about the whole Wizard types and how they seamed to decrease in importance.. Early ones you could only field one or two of them, by the end when they were part of a clan, you could have no limit.
