Show us ya haul.

So what hobby goodies did everybody get? Even though I ordered stuff earlier in the week it was Xmas cash off my aunt so technically it still counts. Here's the Ral Partha part that showed up a few days ago with a few GW minis at the bottom,and the rest is some stuff I'm still waiting on from eBay.

Thought you mentioned talk about someone else picking up the product?
more someone else trying to make there own version. though it would be interesting to know why the company stopped, and where the rights might end up (did they go under? did they just not think it was worth the price to make it? etc)

I imagine producing putty is no small feat. If nothing else the risk of being sued over skin irritation (very possible with epoxy) is a major deterrent. Apoxie grey might be a similar option, I haven't played with it as it's much more expensive.

I like the Apoxie sculpt stuff myself, but I only use it for terrain bits and pieces really. In somewhat more talented hands I expect you can do wonders. It takes textures nicely so I use it when sculpting rock/stone/bark that kind of thing. Sets totally rock hard, but you can set in detail and firm up edges and so forth as it dries. It does say about wearing gloves, I don't always bother to be fair, but I am using it infrequently. The cheapest I found it in the UK was from https://www.themodelworkshop.co.uk/apoxie-sculpt-1lb-natural.html still not a cheap material.

@Fimm McCool since it's a two part do you want me to pop a couple of small bits in the post to you can you can prod a bit about to decide if it's worth shelling out the £30 for a tub? Quite happy to.

If you wouldn't mind that would be really useful. Just a tiny amount should be ok to compare. The two things I like about Procreate are the colour (easier on the eye than dark green) and the way it holds detail. Green stuff has a kind of plastic memory which pushes out details and crisp edges as it sets, which procreate doesn't.

Oh, there is something I got which might count.
I've been looking at it for a while so I was gotten the BBDINO (what a company name ¬_¬) 'Stackable & Adjustable Mould Housing Kit'. Basically a bunch of plastic interlocking pieces which are walls and corners so you don't need to bother making your own mould boxes, you can just clip these together, use the included bulldog clips to double hold, they stack so you can make them taller if you want, The Set I got is two sets of them. the normal one claims they basically make between a 2"x2" (2.5" tall) size, then each piece is 2" length so makes up to ... mm.. tricky.. for it to be square, 6"x6". but as it's in multiples of 2, and there is 2 sets, you can get quite a few different box sizes made up.

Think I might be out of silicone at the moment though ^_^;
