Shark Teeth Marines and Field Police

I have been in the process of painting a Blood Angels assault marine squad and now I finally have half a squad ready, which means they will be able to make it into a game (potentially).

I want my Space Marines to be psychos, so I painted shark mouths on the assault marines. I think it is a great way to make them look really agressive and it will make them stand out on the battle-field.

I also wanted to do some Field Police for some time, but in the end I decided to make just a single marine instead of a complete squad of them. So I found a model I really liked and painted him in the colours of the Field Police.

This guy will either make it into a veteran squad at some point or solely be used for skirmish. For now he can try to arrest the Blood Angels.

I think the black Field Police turned out quite all right, so maybe I will give my Dark Angels terminators another go soon.

Man, I just cannot get enough of those old style beakies. There's something about them (maybe the dynamic crouch) that is so compelling.
Anyway, great paint job... and I love the very Rogue Trader-ish scenery in the background. Well done!

Thanks  I obviously love them too.

Anyone know who sculpted the Field Police marine? Same sculptor did a medic, the marine with 2 powerfists and the marine with shuriken catapult. Those are really some of my favourite marines ever.

Wow! My hands start to tremble if I think about painting all these teeth.
Did you paint the helmets before gluing them on?

No. I assembles everything first.

Previously I used to paint parts of models before assembling them. But I found it too fiddly and now, besides shields, everything gets assembled first. If I can't paiint it chances are it won't be noticed on the table anyway.

Really cool! I've been thinking of some field police too, but have never done it. Inspirational!

Poses are reaaaally great, I especially like the one with the power glove who seems to be coming right from a comics.

I really like posing these old marines, it seems that the more extreme poses work best in my eyes

Really like the sharkmouth and how it ties marines into historical military iconography.

Oh, and background posters are spot on

Thanks all

I printed a whole lot of different ones to put on the walls of my building. I thought they would work well with the Oldhammer Community ;)
