The Eunuch is great! What orange colours did you use? I saw on the blog that you tried out some new paints.
The GW "Ryza Rust" is one of their special "dry" paints for drybrushing. An orange that can be drybrushed on is a must have for any painter I think. I also used Troll Slayer Orange to layer with. Its a tiny bit thin, but it gives better coverage than most of the original Citadel paints ever did all the same.
I like quite extreme highlighting, so I love the current range of Citadel "Edge" paints. I edged the Eunuch with Lugganath Orange and then glazed the orange areas with Bloodletter Glaze to give some vibrancy back as the Lugganath is just a tiny bit pastel.
The old Macharius Orange Foundation paint gave good coverage but wasnt vibrant enough for my tastes. The same applies to the current replacement for that colour, Jokaero Orange.

I have always been strugling with my old GW orange, it is so thin that it is almost impossible to do anything with it and so far I haven't bought into other orange paints.
The current red paints are fantastic. Like my miniatures, I use paints from all eras and manufacturers. I just try to find the best examples of each type. I strongly suggest that people pick up a pot or two of Mephiston red. Its the best red paint that I have ever used.

You are churning out the henchpeople these days. Great stuff with the painting and they look really coherent for mixing and matching with each other.
I normally try to link my miniatures together visually into groups, but with these Inquisitor typ bands I am just going for individuals. They are more like RPG characters.
The common basing style helps to tie them together I think, but I tend to repeat certain colours a lot, mostly because I just like to paint them, usually because of technical reasons, like there is a triad of vibrant versions of that colour that give good coverage or something similar.
I am really enjoying the retinue models though, great fun and loads of character
