This was a rather vast game, involving 600+ models and three different sides, based on the first battle of the War of the Elves and Sauron, as described in Unfinished Tales and, more briefly, in the Appendices to LOTR, using WFB 2nd edition with a few scenario rules and modifications for the setting.
Our Orcs were green, as they are the only Orcs I have. Elric was pressed into service as Sauron in his 'fair' guise as Annatar, the 'Lord of Gifts'. This, coupled with the setting in Hollin, the land of holly, added to a vaguely festive-theme to the game, which we played a few days before Christmas last year...
