Would it be proper to have a thread highlighting any sales we come across?

I can't find a thread that does this on here.

If it's a sale that is appropriate to the Oldhammer community and you think it worth noting you can pop a thread over in the https://forum.oldhammer.org/forums/ebay-similar-classifieds.39/ section. I've done the odd one myself when I've stumbled on something I thought was of interest and - ahem - I didn't want myself! ;)

There is a single thread here: https://forum.oldhammer.org/threads/ebay-bargains-deals-etc.641/ which for ebay at least I suppose was supposed to serve that purpose really, but post on that or a new thread as appropriate I guess!

Yeah, I love scouring ebay for deals.

I was thinking more along the lines of smaller companies, one man operations, sculptors and the like.

I'd much prefer to find out about sales from Heresy miniatures or Ramshackle games than private sellers on ebay.

Gotcha. Well if they are a company selling models that are oldhammery and you spot a good deal/sale I'd start a thread in the https://forum.oldhammer.org/forums/ebay-similar-classifieds.39/ section. No harm in letting people know when they can expand those lead piles with more metal! It's only really the sole/direct advertising "I only created this account to advertise my business" postings that get frowned upon!
