Rynn's World Campaign

For benefit of those not on FB:
I have uploaded the Marine Squad options to the Files section. I will be running a series of games at BOYL 2026 to form a New Rynn City campaign. Each will be a smallish battle in the Rogue Trader style. If you want to participate, you can bring one of these Crimson Fist squads, but I will have plenty of models, so this is entirely optional.

Note, from previous post on this: I'm looking for them to be old school - i.e. non-Mk 7, RTB sized, helmet stripes etc. so they fit the aesthetic. Other than that make them your own. If anyone doesn't have suitable models, I have done my own STLs so I could post out some prints in return for a suitable donation to Ukraine. I've also done some fist badges which can be glued on to the RTB01 plastics, if that would help.

Any questions, please post/message...

erm.. Old-school IE non-mk7... erm... Pretty damn sure that technically (atleast back in 2ed) the current was Mk 7 (with the corvus being mk 6) but then Mk 8 came out, and I think newer editions appear to use some newer fancier armour so.. probebly mk 9 or something.. so kinda means pre-mk 7 then non-mk 7 ^_^

though as I'm not involved, I probably should shut up (why does modern day stuff say Mk6 was during the Hersey, instead of Mk 5, which was Hersey armour because it was the main one through then ¬_¬; oh well)

The notion of specific marks of armour during the HH has always been a little “vague”… Remember that the original game set during the HH (Epic Space Marine) proudly had Mk.7 armour on the cover! The previous edition of HH emphasised the Mk.6 armour and latest has plastic Mk.2 armour!
Current Primaris marines sport Mk.10 armour (for some reason it skipped a mark…) and they are now proudly promoting how Primaris marines mix their armour marks… 🤨

Sigh.. they do so like to change the nature of armour.. for some marines, it's a holy relic which they keep clean and in good condition, others update to the latest armour to always keep in the current tech. To others, each dent is a badge of honour and so it's common to see mixed armours in a unit..

But I think this is something that needs to be a different thread ^_^ Hope you guys have fun

I believe armour marks became a thing in 1990 with the release of the Jes Goodwin RTB15 set.

These guys hew towards earlier sculpts, which is fair enough. Each to their own.
