RuneQuest Broo

Old Hob

Baron
These dudes are from Citadel's RuneQuest boxed set 4 (v3): The Broo 2 and feature in the First Citadel Compendium (October 1983). The dude on the left also features in Bryan Ansell's Mighty, Avenging Chaos Army in the Warhammer Armies book, along with a whole load of broo.

I don't have the set, unfortunately. But I am selling a slightly battered kidney so I can afford the rest!

The background painting is from an A4 spiral bound miniatures backdrop book from Handiwork Games. They do several fantasy and sci-fi backdrop books and they come in either A4 or A3.

I think a few of us here have them! Jon also sells some as PDFs (in fact these were before they did the KS for the books) on DriveThru - if you want any larger or have access to a good printer.

Loving the Broo, really nice.

I seem to be a little smitten with these at the moment...

There will be more along soon, but in the meantime I need to start my Golden Gobbo entry (which will be neither beastman nor goblinoid! Cripes!).
Can't believe I missed this post. Such great figures and I love the muted paint job. Totally worth a kidney or two!

Thank you guys. And thank you @Eric for his machine spirit wrangling. I really thought these images would disappear, as I shared them with Imgur.

A couple of lovely folks from the internet have dug out some classic broo from their lead piles and sold them to me for much less than the crazy eBay prices. I'm very excited and waiting for the postman with baited breath.

well the copy you're seeing here is now hosted here. So whilst the old image src URL was: https://i.imgur.com/imgur/LYkvepU.jpeg anything posted before 1st Oct (ish) should now be changed to a local URL like (in this case) https://forum.oldhammer.org/imgur/LYkvepU.jpeg. The disadvantage of that is "you" now don't have direct control (you'd need to message) over the images (since they are here and not editable by members), the advantage is we can all still enjoy them! Any new Imgur images posted are going to be blocked in the UK, but I'm trusting if someone does do a post enough people will say "sorry can't see them" that it'll be picked up and the member posting can sort out something else.
