Rules for Volley /Area Fire

Hi,
are there any known Rules for Volley /Area Fire in WHFB ?
Perhaps in one of the WH historical rulesets ?

Its been a while but If I remember in Warhammer Ancients if a unit did not move it could fire with 1/2 the number of models in the rear ranks, if using bows (Crossbows, Thrown, etc could not do it).
