Rogue Trader Style Snow Sculptures

A couple of quick and shoddy snow sculptures of potential Oldhammer interest. Many others not in that style can be found here.

well it was frosty on my morning walk, but nothing like that! Brilliant bit of sculpting, but will they survive the mold making pressure and temperature? :)
for something that size/type, liquid silicone ^_^ pour it and see

Holy crap! I'm not entirely sure of scale, but from the texture that looks like maybe half meter of snow, or more. (What I'd call a foot or maybe two?) Been a few years since I saw something like that in my part of the world. Gorgeous work! Talk about your Oldhammer art! How bad did you get plastered and does your locality have the equipment to deal with that? (We do, since it happens, but it'd take a little while most everywhere other than the airport, since it doesn't happen often. A little south of me they'd think the world ended. A little north of me they'd think it's a Tuesday. Or maybe a Wednesday. One of those days that ends in Y.)

@Fimm McCool : It happens rather often in Sweden, luckily. And a hefty silicone mould for that, aye, haha!

@EricF : Thanks! Haha, now there is a question. I'll have to check with the caster.

@ManicMan : True, true!

@symphonicpoet : Thank you kindly. It's more than half a meter tall for both, maybe a full meter or as much as 1,3 m for the Marine helmet. I'm not on site to check, but basically snow sculpting is quick and shoddy work, since it will melt anyway. Plus there are often icy bits and gravel that makes it fall apart, so I never aim for high detail level.

We've gotten plastered for something like 7 days, in two instalments of 3 then 4 days, around Christmas. I was on site to shovel it away during the first 3, then got sick and missed out on the other 4. We got in total maybe 40 cm of snow, probably more. A hefty lot of snow! Some of it has melted away now, though it's starting to snow again. We've got equipment for sure: The municipality have trucks and routines for dumping snow and clearing streets, and I do the hand shovelling around cars and parts that trucks don't reach around here. Swedish routine. :grin:

^Sweden. Yeah, that parses. There were a bunch of Swedish folks that immigrated to the north of me bits where they'd call that an ordinary winter's day on the farm. It's probably been a good few years since I saw that much snow where I am in my more middling US (38.6N) latitude. Mind you, it's presently about -18C and it was south of -20C yesterday night, so it's more than cold enough for it. But we've only got a tiny little dusting of the actual white stuff right now. Not enough for sculpting. I think my friends to the west might have gotten properly shelacked, though. (Much of the US is deep in the grips of a really nasty, continent spanning winter storm.) Stay warm out there!
