Just a note to say the artist Brett Ewins, best known for his work on 2000AD - Rogue Trooper, Bad Company, Dredd and of course Oldhammer favourites Kaleb Daark Chainsaw Warrior, Blood Bowl passed away this morning. A hugely talented and massively influential artist. Condolences to his friends and family.

Sad day. :(

Very sad news. Always loved Bad Company, and his work on Deadline especially Johnny Nemo was fantastic.
Poor man had serious mental health issues too, and suffered a heart attack a few years back.

Bad Company was probably my favourite back in the day, so much so that I tracked down and reread the 1st two storylines before Christmas. I didn't realise about the mental health problems he had until reading obits today. Sad news indeed.

Yeah, he really suffered after his breakdown in the early 90's, Really sad news.

I just loved his absolutely barking artwork when he didn't have to fit into the Dredd 'style', and Bad Company was probably my favourite 2000ad story ever.

Adding my commiserations to this topic because he was my favourite 2000AD artist.

Odd thing was, a about a week ago I got to thinking about Bad Company, totally out of the blue. And now this news.

Unsettling.

I was genuinely sad when I saw this on the 2000AD Facebook group. His artwork in 2000AD not only holds so many special memories for me but it still is amazing work. Bad Company was great but I loved his work on Judge Anderson the most, nobody could draw such chaotic demons like Brett!

I understand the last few years had not been kind to Brett. Such a massive loss of a unique creative talent. As others have said, Bad Company was HUGE for me as a kid. We lost one of the greats.
