Retro 80's Cinematic Scenarios

So I love movies...and I love 80's movies even better. So I thought why not make some 80's Cinema inspired Scenarios. Here is what I have come up with so far. A couple I haven't got back around to, or if there are any others you want to come up with feel free to do so. Lets get these going, and possibly see some posted battle reports off these.

Aliens: Your Warband has been transported through a time portal onto a derelict ship floating through space, but something menacing is hunting your retinue from the shadows!

Setup a random Space hulk mission and run it with your warband instead of the terminators.

Weekend at Bernies- Your leader has partied to much and is completely passed out! Unfortunately for the warband their rival has just showed up to crash the party! Now you have to make the other champion believe everything is okay, while trying to get your champion out of here without falling as easy prey.

Designate 2 Warband members to help your champion act normal. All three must stay in base contact for the remainder of the scenario. Victory goes to side A if they can successfully fight off and survive the battle, Victory goes to side B if they capture Warband A’s leader all it takes is being in base to base contact for a turn.

Footloose- A Champion has just come to town and knows this new dance that will get everyone talking! Unfortunately for you it is the attribute “Cheat Code” and will raise his whole warband to stat 10’s.

You must eliminate this threat before he destroys you and your town.

The Terminator-A chaos renegade has come back from warp to protect one of your random retinue members. A chaos terminator has come back to help Warband B kill the designated target in Warband A.

Tremors-

The Karate Kid-

Dirty Dancing-

Pee Wee’s Big Adventure-

Teen Wolf- One of your subordinates has been acting…different. With the big battle battle on the line, this is no time for any distractions.

Designate one of Warband A’s members to now have the Were rules 3e. p. 223. Roll a D10 to determine the statline. Starting with base statline up to lvl 20 wizard.

Weird Science- Boys what have you made? Warband A’s champion as gotten a hold of a spell book and tries to create the perfect girlfriend. Unfortunately he has created the perfect killing machine in a slaanesh daemonette!

There are two options:

Warband A can try to survive an encounter with the slaanesh daemonette, who is controlled by Warband B.
Warband A can use the daemonette in the next battle against Warband B.

Adventure’s In babysitting

Uncle Buck- I’m your Uncle…Buck

Crocodile Dundee- Dragon nearly took me leg off!

Raising Arizona

Footloose was the movie I was thinking of when I read the thread title.
I was more thinking along the line of a Champion of Slaanesh trying to enthrall a town's youth in a magic ritual.
Be quick before the local Priest finds you.
-Sounds like a Kill-Team scenario-
Bonus points if the Priest's daughter gets rescued/enchanted.

Three Marinos:
A group of Propaganda actors accidentally land on a planet in a drop pod unaware that the spaceship got shot down by Orks.
(a drop pod landing was part of the script)
The continue to play their roles as Space Marines, using their Powered Stunt Armour and Show Effects Boltguns to the max.

Three Movie Marines protecting a village against a gang of Orks.
Will they continue to play their roles and blast everything to bitz with their d6 shots S2 Boltguns while confusing the green skins with weird commands like "CUT!" (he was about to stab...) or will they notice the truth by finally making their Int4 test and have their stats halved?
And if the latter happens, will they make their Ld 4 check in time to return to former glory?
Maybe being close to that girl in that village will help with that test...

The Gurners - a band of intrepid Halfling adventurers must team up with a mutant Ogre to search for the mythical treasure of Dead Eye Dick, a notorious pirate. Hot on their heals are a murderous gang of Human bandits, intent on grabbing the loot for themselves.

Should the Gurners fail, their homestead will be demolished in order to make room for a new hunting lodge for a local (and very callous and horribly rich) nobleman.

The Breakfast Club 5 Champions of different armies (i.e. Khorne, Dark Elf, Empire, Halfling and a Dwarf) are trapped in a dungeon, hounded by a Major Hero Minotaur, aka "Richard Vernon". The champions have various tasks to achieve, such as collect herbs, play 1-on-1 BloodBowl, and steal stuff from various locations in the labyrinth without getting caught, all the while learning their similarities are greater than their differences.

B-Movies are such a great source of scenarios. Dodgy plots make for fun scenarios!

Hawk the Slayer

Your band of Mercenaries are hired to rescue the local chapel from capture by a band of marauding Chaos worshipers. The mercs are a mixture of Human, Elf, Dwarf and Ogre fellows. The chaos worshipers are your usual mix of degenerates. Cue scenarios that involve:

- Raiding the local slaver camp, freeing slaves and taking off with the gold for the ransom
- Being ambushed by the 2nd in command of the Chaos warband
- You are all drugged yet manage to escape. You return, rescuing the local nuns from the warband in a final showdown!

Masters of the Universe
Not the best, but a Rogue Trader scenario where you and your Rogue Trader fellas end up being marooned on a backwards world trying to hunt down an artifact and are trying to re-establish contact. Chaos Worshipers are also hunting for the artifact. You can have:

- Showdown at the local school
- Gunfight at the Music Store
- Appearance of a huge chaos warband
- Final firefight and escape at the corner store!

Blues Brothers

You are putting the (war)band back together. Track down all the old members whilst battling the Illin' Oy Nazis, Ye Good Olde Boys and a demented ex-flame.

Spinal Tap

You are searching for the mythical Amp of Eleven. Scenery is important in this one with a micro model of Stonhenge the center piece. Also watch out for giant egg pods that can trap the unwary. Finally will your drummer make it to the end without mysteriously exploding?

Inspired!
Bonus points for including Noise Marines or Goffik Rokkers

Stand by Me
Your gang sets off to find a missing member - believed dead. Avoid the rabid warhound at the scrap yard whilst you search. Can you get to the corpse before it is reanimated by your necromancer brother?

Wargames

The only winning move is not to play - pack your models up and go home before you start

I used to regularly run a game based on Rambo 3, which works in both 40k and WFB: One hero has to avoid guards on set routes to sneak into an enemy camp and rescue a prisoner, and they both then have to fight their way back to an extraction point.

Works quite well as it's quick, and you can run it as a competition to see how far each hero player can get through the scenario.

Nazis? :? Thats the wrong universe, isn't it?
And isn't the Name wrong too? What was the correct one..."Blood Brothers"? No. It was "Chaos Brothers"!

So here are THE CHAOS BROTHERS (sorry jon_1066 - I had to get this out of my system)

"And the terrible hand of Malal was seen at work" that was the last thing Jeak could remember hearing before-what ever had happened-had happened.
"What a piss poor god that needs to talk in third person" Jeak thought while spitting out crumbs of dirt.
He had landed hard on the ground - face first - after he had followed the (blood red) light , the only thing that had brought back awareness to his existence.
A warp portal? Had he been drifting in the warp? For how long? For an eternity? For the blink of en eye?
Eyes. Yes. He had eyes but they were still shut. "Time to open them", Jeak thought.
He saw sand. Only sand and, raising his head, a pair of boots, two legs - and then he heard that familiar voice "You took your time - BROTHER".
Blinking into the light Jeak saw his brother Hellwud. It was Hellwud, allright. His garb was slightly different from when he had seen him the last time.
And there wa a gun hanging from his belt. A gun? Jeak frowned. Hellwud looked down to the weapon and shrugged. "Strange times" he said.
"Brother, we are still on a mission from god" and nodded towards a wheeled, smoke spewing monstrosity he was leaning against...

Jeak and Hellwud were lost drifting in the warp after their run-in with the god Malal.
Due to Malal's demise by the hands of the Gods of Law, the members of a Blood Cult were able to summon them (and others) into their time and space.
But the ritual was not powerful enough so that the lost followers of Khorne arrived peacemeal (some literally) but Hellwud arrived timely enough to assist the cult in it's plan to open a warp gate in a local town center with a huge blood sacrifice.
After beeing instructed about his task by high priestress Stigmata he helped here to slaughter her whole coven to collect the necessary blood for the ritual - 888 gallons. But even draining Sister Stigmata from her last drop of blood (she needed to atone for using magic) Hellwud is short of a few gallons.
So Here is his mission:

  1. - Drive the old Arbites truck, converted into a fuel transport, with his blood load into the town center and finalize the ritual
  • - Do not stop as time is of the essence - avoid or defeat pursuers and break through roadblocks if necessary.
  • - Collect the missing amount of blood by running over pedestrians (e.g. the people behind roadblocks - It does not matter if the blood is on or in the truck).
  • - Other followers of Khorne might appear at the roadside (Sleban Foulheart, Hogan Headhacker and Zinbar Sicklesword should be around somewhere).
Let them assist you with the road blocks, let them jump on board to help you against other vehicles or just bowl them over to take their blood too.
(In the latter case you should better be successful or you might have an additional opponent).
Play as a rolling-road scenario with Deathrace 40.000 rules.
Pursuers are
- some rioting orks in their truck (The good ol' Boyz) who don't like the competition on the road
- an inquisitor with his warband who wants to stop the ritual
- a lone Sister Repentia on her personal vendetta against the followers of Khorne.
- an endles number of arbites and enforcers in their cars and trucks which will also be manning the road blocks.
