Replacement Eldar Guardian arms

Im beginning to assemble/re-assemble my old eldar guardians. They are second edition sculpts, the ones from the boxed set with metal bodies and plastic arms. It turns out I'm short of arms. A quick scan of ebay showed a plethora of the guardian form-also without arms-and a dearth spare arms. It makes sense, as metal will survive most paint strippers while plastic often does not.

So to my question: Does anyone know of a source for modern replacements?

I looked into Victoria Miniatures, but their arms are all human (or abhuman) so no luck there. Another company maybe?

Then I thought that there might be newer GW Eldar plastics that would work. Or maybe dark Eldar? I don't have any knowledge of the newer ranges though. If a forum member knows of compatibility I'd love to hear about it (or even to see examples).

Any help/thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all.

Yes I did the same. I had a load of old metal Eldar but no arms. Got a job load of Eldar spares from eBay and used them. Took a bit of filing and filling but they look good once painted

Sorry only just noticed this. My photography skills are almost as limited as my painting ones, but I will look a couple out tomorrow and put up some pics

So, as I said my painting and picture skills are not that high. Oh and yes that is an air hockey table they are sitting on.

Those guys look great.

The arms seem to be in proportion; I wasn't sure if eldar had the scale creep issues of space marines.

Thanks for posting the photos.

Many thanks for the compliment. I enjoy painting but I am fully aware my stuff is to an ok tabletop standard and to be perfectly honest, that’s all I am aiming for.

In regards to the scale, I would say the limbs are slightly longer that the original arms but it’s hardly noticeable. I have a few of the more modern plastic Eldar mixed into my guardians and they are a bit taller but again you would need a keen eye to notice.

Also worth pointing out that the modern plastic guardians have a ball and socket arrangement for assembly. So the arms have a ball joint on the end with the socket being on the body. Your original Eldar will have flat body and the arms would have been flat to create a join. So you will have to file down a bit on the arms and on a couple I had to fill in gaps a bit using milliput. But the filing down helps shorten the arms a bit too so the very slight difference in length becomes unnoticeable.
