Recasts I think... certainly odd, primed in silver...

So as you know I managed to get four Beasts of Nurgle at an acceptable price because their feet were missing. Then I went and noticed you are supposed to have them in units of seven, so occasionally I glance back on ebay thinking I might get lucky one of these days (£20-30 is probably as much as I really want to pay ideally)

Noticed this auction https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/375881044594
which I briefly looked at as Beasts are often £70+ minimum and seeing one cheaper was worth a quick glance.

Thought it very odd the model was primed in silver ... so what is that hiding I wonder? Is it just they didn't want to strip the model of paint and making it look "metal" gets more clicks on ebay? Then I looked at the rest of the shop and that seems to be their thing, along with a LOT of flash, an awful lot of flash. Now I'm no antiques roadshow expert when it comes to miniatures, but I suspect most (probably all) are re-casts despite the pristine feedback.

Thoughts from the more experienced eyes?

... and the tabs detail is missing.. did they do later ones where they removed it? I know the originals had the tab details..

and personally, alot of people who pay stupid for recasts, don't really notice I think (there was a thing with some Bootleg Star Wars figures a while back which weren't sold as bootleg but were, then people put them on a fake official looking star wars backing card, selling them for £1000+ and then in the flesh, some were able to notice the problems ^_^

wait.. I just looked at a late skaven they got... that is meant to be the Limited edition Battle Standard from the Skaven Army Box set (6th Edition).. I don't have that one, way too modern for me (Though i got the odd later era figure..) i'm really thinking recast

Oh but one reason for priming silver is 'I couldn't or couldn't be bothered to completely strip' so cover up the odd bits of paint
