yeah.. this is just... Not related to miniatures or anything really but I just found this VERY funny... also a sign of how little shops care about people.
Tesco in the UK has some 'Christmas Gift bags' which are paper bags with Christmas stuff and a card gift tag.. fair enough.. I think a bit pricey for what they are but oh well.. fair enough. Some brand name stuff and some generic. Now.. I say one today and... It really shows how it's gotten designed, approved, prototyped, approved, released and sold, all the time while no one there gives a damn and is just "This is cheap, the customers are too stupid to care". This kinda insult is something that really drives me mad (though sometimes I probebly make the mistake of not following Harlon's Razor (the origin of the name is very debated. as while some say there is on 100% true source, there in fact alot of debate between mostly three people but nevermind).. the adage basically says "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.". Though I don't know what is a better attitude, feeling all this stupid people are screwing you over, or all this evil people...
Anyway.. What is this bag? well.. I found it is also on sale on their website:
Two main issues.. the Minor one is the bell is not the type mentioned.. but.. I'm sure alot of you have noticed.. it says "Slay Bells". So not a reference to Sleigh Bells, which are small round bells normally on a stick or chain which are put on Sleighs and have a kinda Christmas connection due to snow and songs.. But it says Slay.. as it to Kill. It is saying "Kill Bells". No two ways about that.
So like I said, the Designer of this bag designed it. It was approved to go to prototype production. It was prototyped and approved. It was then put into mass Production and shipped to stores for sale.. and at NO point has any-one pointed out "That's the wrong word" or have cared.. And I can bet some people have brought it also not knowing.. I hope it's not trying to play on people who don't have English as a first language or can't read... cause that'll be evil..
If it was a small time thing like a small home company, that's one thing,, but this is a TESCO made one for TESCO.. it's big business this..
Almost bought it for the joke.. It's not even meant to be themed for some 'lets be weird' tv show ¬_¬ If it was, I would expect maybe a drop of blood from one of the half arsed, badly drawn... wait, those stars shapes are soo badly drawn... this bag just gets worse and worse.
Ah, I can turn it into Miniature related! Dwarf Troll Slayer with Sleigh Bells. Stick that on it and it'll be FAR better.
