Well luckily our minis don't use things like Gallium, Rhodium, etc.
Tin, Antimony, lead, and bismuth are still readily available although their costs have shot up just like everything else.

thanks for the link, i actually haven't seen that part of the site. Looks like a 1-man show? It's impressive what he accomplished and i hope he can sustain it . Their website is actually quite good and they even have an artists page which lists all the work they carry from each sculptor.
I know i'm old fashioned, but to me this is infinitely more interesting that an STL file.
When i buy a metal model and it eventually makes it's way into a Diorama, I feel there is a meaningful connection between the original artist and my humble efforts. I often wonder what one of them would say if they saw where their mini wound up.
Compare that to a Dragon i saw on a large mini manufacturers retail website recently. It was supposed to be a Dragon, but it looked like Godzilla. So i wondered " who the hell sculpted that?" and it said "Crestron Studios", so in other words sculpted by a software geek or even worse, AI.
sure looked like it ;(
