Well, everyone by now knows the lists. What's the scale of beardiness allotment for Middlehammer mostly?

I provide the house armies, for localization, in 5th edition WHFB.

Is there a certain unit that gets the faux pas treatment?
 
5th ed was the edition I came in on, though it's been a while since I played it. I always felt like the main abuses were magic item combos rather than units per se?

I also felt that Special Characters were just wrong in anything other than the largest battles.
