Pizza foam trays- from wheres't comes't they?!

I'm obviously not eating the right high-class, rich in excess packaging pizza!

Those polystyrene foam trays that pizzas sometimes come on, which are excellent for modeling paving slabs, walls etc, I remember finding in most pizzas. Now whenever I buy a boxed pizza I look hopefully inside but... no tray. I've been wasting so much money recently trying to find pizzas with trays! :?

Soo.... anyone in the UK know a reliable source of said trays, or maybe where I buy the material in sheet form to save my arteries?

Thought I was the only one after those... Worst thing is that piazzas on these are not ethe best (really prefer those I do myself.

Sorry I can't help you on sourcing these but keep in mind you're ot alone :geek:

Re: AW: Pizza foam trays- from wheres't comes't they?!

Have you tried footfall sound absobtion sheets?
It is quite often used as it comes in handy sheets. Not sure about the kind of foam, but I think it is polystyrol. This might cause issues if painted directly, but usually you apply a coat of filler anyway.
Styrodur is by far the best material though.

Yep, 'Pizza Express' pizzas (found in almost all super markets, sometimes on a 2-for-1) have these too, and in different sizes.

definitely my choice of basing for the majority of terrain (after a layer of poly-filla/PVA

Thanks guys... to Tescos, or Asda!

I'll have a look, sounds right, just the thickness that might be a problem- I need about 5mm thick. All polystyrene/Styrofoam needs at least priming before you do anything solvent-based on top. Although you can get some nice alien effects by letting it dissolve a bit....
