Opinions on the new P3 paints?

I'm not going in on the current gamefound campaign, as I have plenty of other paints and would prefer to buy singles of what I need after general release, but I am curious about what you folks think about the new P3 paints (the first wave of which are now available.) The hype says that their metallics in particular are a cut above, and I'm also curious to know if their take on traditionally more difficult colors (white, yellow) are anything special.

Online chatter says old P3 paints were like old Citadel paints, which sounds promising, and I do appreciate that the new ones now come in dropper bottles. I just have one vial of the old brass balls that I finally used after having it in storage for years, and I did like it, but that's the extent of my experience with the line.

I've never tried either them, not for any reason other than local stores didn't stock the ranges and I'd ended up with Vallejo stuff for the most part (which I generally get on okay with). These days I dabble a little more out of curiosity so maybe I'll see if I can get a few if I'm ordering something online from a stockist maybe once this new range has bedded in - there are certainly some nice colours, but like you I have plenty of paint so won't be getting a whole new range.

Metalics have certainly been a problem generally - my Game Color ones are nice colours, but I find they dry very quickly on the palette without a bit of TLC and thinning. I often use Vallejo Model Air Steel as general metal and that goes on very nicely with a brush. I've also fount the silver Vallejo Metal Colour range to go on nicely with a brush (the golds, nope!). I've some War Colours metallics as well and they are nice colours, but do tend to separate a bit. If this new range has some good metals in there I might try a few - although I think every newly released paint range always claims to have better metallics! :)
