Oldhammer Discord, and other Portsmouth locals.

Howdy,
Been off the forum for a bit, and I was wondering if there is a related discord that is used by other Oldhammer gamers? I'm basied in Portsmouth and would be keen to find some Oldhammer fans in the area that don't just want to get on with the latest editions.

^That's not a bad question that you ask. I tried to set one up for one of my games, but I'm such a crap Discord user I kind of failed to do anything at all with it. Maybe if there isn't one yet somebody should set one up? What do you imagine it would do? Enable realtime conversation about gaming? Certainly an interesting idea.

I used to live in Pompey but no more. But your idea has prompted me to make a FB group for Lincolnshire Oldhammerers.

That's pretty much it, it seems like a good place to arrange games and such with people. With places like FB and others becoming more political, Discord seems like a safe place where people can be people at the moment.

I would happily start something, but I don't feel as though I have the background of the group to be able to see it get used. I'm in IT myself, so I am online most of the day. Plus some people love a forum and its a good source of stable information, I think of discord as more a chatroom with some forum like qualities.

Indeed, I use it mostly to share photos and get games sorted, mainly Blood Bowl.

I went ahead and posted, and just posted some pics. I'm . . . a bit out of my depth still, but we'll see how it goes.
