Oldhammer Day: The main reason I would attend would be to...

Hi all

Being realistic about this being our first event of any sort, there is a cautious wisdom that says 'lets not bite off more than we can chew'.

I've posted this poll with a view to establish what things we should focus on (and therefore, what would be able to cut out if we had to). Its not to say that we we aren't up for all of this, but if only one of you wants to play games, we're not likely to spend a lot of time on that. We can't please everyone all of the time, so how could we please most of you most of the time?

This poll runs for 10 days and allows for 2 votes. Please pick the two reasons you'd be most likely to attend the event. You are allowed to change your votes.

I've allowed an other option as you might have some other cracking reasons to attend that I've not thought of.

I shall check the 'no special interest' option but I am interested in seeing all that going on even if I don't join in everything.
It is just a chance to indulge in a bit of oldhammery goodness.
Mostly it is a chance to meet up with some like minded fellows and eat sticky buns.

I suspect that much of the day or days will be spent 'in conference', hopefully with an ale or ten...

I just want drop round and say hello. I can't really bring any old citadel miniatures as I am more into the game systems than the older miniatures. I am currently starting a new 2nd/3rd Ed. compatible Bretonian army using Foundry miniatures though so if I get enough painted (at least 1000 3rd ed pts) I might bring it along, it should keep the Foundry lads happy!

Sounds familiar if you replace the old lead with a Dalek shaped cake (wasn't THE wedding cake by the way), a hog roast and a keg of Black Sheep, some gale force winds and most of the tentage my scout group owns!

What's the deal with beverages of an alcoholic nature - I'm assuming they probably won't be available/allowed in the Foundry?

'Spose I could just about hold out till the evening's trip to the pub...

Back on topic - mooching about with you lot sounds like a plan - perhaps a game or two would be nice as well, especially if folk are after a bit of Orc's Drift.

As i don't drive and more the likely be forced to get a train there i'd be very limited in what i could bring with me, so i'm more for the meeting of folks (Read: buying lead and drinking too much) then actual gaming.

Yay .... we can share a lift and half the petrol.

On the off chance I would be able to participate I would very much like to play an introductory game of WHFB3 (or 2, I have that too).

The main reason to come would be to socialize and trade old lead, but as I could only vote for two I voted participation game and trading.
