Old peculiar [Dwarf wizard]

Howdi.

Look at who is standing on my desk at the moment, waiting for paint:

I don't really know what to do with him in a Dwarf army with a Norsca theme, but I can't let such a nice fig without paint.

And yes, it is frog in his hand. Tiny... little... frog. How am I going to paint such a small frog without it looking like a green blob is beyond me.

Here is the fig on stuf of legends: http://www.solegends.com/citcat1988/0306dwfadvs-01.htm

Edit: Argh... Trying to put an image here. Where is this bloody button? Ha! It worked! I am an Information Technology Genius!

Well if hes going to cause you trouble I'll take him off your hands! ;) I would suggest just washes might be the way to go for the frog.

Thanks for the offer ;)

Washes probably, yes. Something that will leave as thin a layer as possible, not to clog the details.

As to the rest of the mini, well the colors at least are obvious:

What is he telling that frog?!

He's saying ''Once Upon a time there was a Frenchie called Mr Ass and that goes around eatting all the naughty frogs, so be good''

MONSIEUR Ass to you ;) This is savory because, despite my Northern European dwellings, I am French. Ah!

A lovely sculpt, that's sure. And I have always thought the frog is in fact a lovely dwarf prince. He tells him "Follow me to my laborrratory, young masterrr... We will cerrrtainly find a way to trrransform you back..."

That's why you will never see a White Dwarf Battle Report between Lizardmen and Bretonnia... Terrible fate for a 1000 years' old frog wiard to end up in the belly of some random knight.
