Old hammer TV hypothetical ( for fun)

If you had the money and the power to adapt one of the old novels to the screen, what one would you choose? Would it be a movie, series, cartoon etc? Who would you cast?

As it's for fun, the actors don't have to be alive now, so you can still stick Christopher Lee in everything because he's cool, and better than Henry Cavill (unpopular opinion, I don't care he plays Warhammer, he's nothing special and he's not even a good actor, he's a jaw model at best).

I think the earlier Gotrek and Felix stories.
BUT, no CGI or crap.
I would want models and sets and for Gotrek some sort of prosthetic muscle suits, like in the latest Bill and Ted.
Give me models and actual physical any day.
A series up to maybe the end of Skavenslayer.
Maybe at a push Dragonslayer.

That or Drachenfels.
Again no CGI arseshite.

If you are going to go all out on CGI then just use that entirely, so much CGI is obvious and jarring and just pulls me out of my suspension of disbelief.

if you are gonna use Christopher Lee, you kinda need to forget about ... anything after 2000 or so.

Animation is best when you get people to forget the stupid idea that Cartoons are only for kids.. sigh, the 60s have much to answer for

Does it have to be an old novel? I'd nominate our own Padre's Tilea's Troubles for the job. Easily the best fleshed out bit of Oldhammer Fantasy I've ever encountered. (I have this back-burner fantasy to do something like it in space.) Which is to say, we can do this ourselves!

Totally agree on CGI, practical or not at all I say. Sooner watch low budget Troma films level of practical effects than James Camerons lanky blue giant movie level stuff.
