Not Just 10mm WFB

So.

I am continuing to do my WFB 3rd edition in 10mm, but I am planning on getting some 25mm to play either 3rd or 4th.

Empire and either Dark Elves or Undead.

What you you recommend as good proxies for the above that fit size wise with that period.
(I feel AOS models are bigger?

the old grenadier miniatures would be a good start, now available from forlorn hope games amongst others.
also have a look at the various sticky threads above.

Undead wise if you are happy with slightly delicate plastic I can highly recommend Children of the Hydra's Teeth sold by Warlord Games, they are the older Wargames Factory miniatures and I think are great skellies. I've some painted on my Undead thread.

Otherwise Tex posted about some undead from Red Moon that looked like good classic metal undead, but I've not yet succumbed to getting any!

Of course you need to have the Tom Meier Zombie Dragon, goes without saying really! ;)

For Empire, take a look at the ex-Citadel ranges from Wargames Foundry. They have a buy five blisters and get the cheapest one free promotion on until July 31st.

The Assault Group has an extensive Renaissance range and they match in height, though not heroic proportions, with 80s and 90s Citadel figures - I use the Italians with my Dogs of War figures. Steel Fist Miniatures' figures are taller than Perry figures, but I don't mind mixing their Landsknechts with the plastic multi-part ones from the late 90s, though they're not heroically proportioned, and the mounted knight's horses are about the same size as the current Perry plastic horses.
