News Feeds?

I'll be the first to admit I don't own the I-Phone 6 & may be a bit slow on the tech side, but what is the deal with News Feeds?
You can't reply, you can't post, so what is the point? I'm guessing that I missed a button or something, but right now it seems like that part of the forum is screaming "FIRE" in a theater full of deaf folks.

Any pointers?

It actually provides a teaser of blog posts of members from here who wish so if they set the right page break in their post. It links to the original post so that people who don't have a blogger account or don't follow 80 blogs can actually follow what other fellow oldhammerers post on their blogs. There should be some chnages in this section though...
