Newer plastic banners

Hi All

I have a few empire figures that have those new hard plastic banners. I got to thinking the other day about how to put designs on these things as sometimes it is hard to draw or sketch on them.

So I came up with this (using some of my tattoo knowledge)

1. Paint the banner white so a design can be seen on it.

2. Draw or find your design and trace (photocopy original if you wish to keep it as you will need to draw on it to get the ink sheet to come through) it onto some Thermal Transfer Paper http://www.amazon.com/Spirit-Master-The ... B003A0NYRS follow the link if you are not sure what I mean. Just remember to remove the protective paper that is in between the paper and the ink sheet.

3. Using your finger or some paper towel take a bit of Brut 33 http://www.brutworld.com/products.php roll on B O Basher and smear it over the flag in a thin coat.

4. Carefully place your stencil of your design onto the flag being careful not to smudge it (straight on........straight off). Magically this will leave your design on the banner.

5. Leave to dry for an hour or 2 (longer the better). Otherwise you will be painting directly onto the deodorant layer.

6. Now paint your banner with the outline of your design and done.

One thing though in all the years I have been tattooing no-one can tell me why to use Brut 33 for the stencil paper it just works, but any deodorant should have the same effect but it must be green  otherwise it dosn't work, one of those things in life I rekon.

Hope this was helpful and gave someone an idea on what to do with those plasic banners. Could post pic's if needed.
