After all the lovely detail in the face(s) the lack of attention to the chainmail stands out a bit.

Just an idea - have you thought about doing a 3-stage version, a normal orc, a mutant orc and a nearly-spawn mutant orc? Think that would be cool.

Many people is asking about something like that , but can't tell by now , there's a lot more to sculpt so , time will tell...
About the chain mail , yes I agree its not so detailed , but the main reasons are ; I did it knowing a lot of it will be covered , and also
the pics are showing a "hand size" statue or bigger , try to take one of the pics and scale it down to 32 mm , where did the chainmail go??!

Here's a "in scale" shot , thats was I mean :)

Yes, I do know what miniatures look like ;)

Have you seen Tom Meiers chain mail?

That's 30mm. http://www.thunderboltmountain.com/products/8503-heavy-goblin-in-chainmail-and-plate-armor

Not that there's anything wrong with tooth-pick holes, it's just it isn't as 'finished' as the rest of the model, it's only because the rest is so smooth that the holes look wrong, if the whole thing was done in a rough style that could work too.

If I'm going to be reaaaaly picky - the fingers on the shield hand could do with a bit more animation, they're quite flat, the middle and forefinger should extend slightly Also I'm not an expert but I thnk the tail / boot might cause casting issues.

Yep , you said , Tom Meier...

But yeah chainmail is something I have to improve I reckon.
I hope the tail boot zone work as it is , there should be space enough to release the mould/copies , lets see...

Tom Meier, what a legend. Not too tricky a technique either but theres a lot of time in that Orcish surcoat!
I reckon the boot/tail will work fine, I've seen far trickier mouldlines. :)
