Comments welcome as always, and there is a scale shot of the range against some old school Citadel on the Oldhammer Blog.

The minis are beautyfull and the skills of the sculptor are excellent.
But for me the batwings on the helmet are too big.
The 2nd one I love the tentacle harm.
I hope the minis Will be sold at a descent price ;)

Niice sculpts, The first one is especially good though I'd be tempted to swap the batwings for horns. The tentacle arm oni the 2nd is absolutely brilliant and pose of both are nice. I'm just thinking about how these will rank? (probably as painfully as the RoC ones)

Lol j'ai pensé la même chose que toi pour les cornes :)
We think the same ass and me about the horns ;) may be because we are Frenchs lol

The first one appeals to me more. I'd like to paint it but might clip the bat wings of the helm first. It sort of reminds me of the skull helmet wearing evil commander in Willow.

Yes Excellent! I asked to myself... Well I saw this helmet somewhere...
Willow!!! 80's were the best! Nostalgia!...

Prefer these ones out of all the sculpts so far. I like the bat winged helmet but funnily enough not so keen on the tentacle arm. Maybe I just prefer my attributes to be less obvious...

The sculpts so far all have a very distinctive feel, I really like them, I think they have a nice 2nd edition undivided chaos feel to them.
I for one am a fan of the tentacles, I quite like the idea of chaos warriors that have visible mutations, much better than today's beefy guy in smooth plate with a horned helm to mark him out as a chaos warrior thing. The shield is excellent.
Looking forward to the crowd funding campaign, hopefully we'll get enough sculpts to field a nice sized unit.

Any word on when the crowdfunding campaign will start?
Roughly speaking, should I budget to pledge in March? ;)

Wanted to ask about that too. I was planning on Oakbound's kickstarter being april-may but I think will now be more like june-july. It'd be good if we little minis folk didn't clash with our money making campaigns! ;)

Here are the final 3 greens from Drew Williams. They depict the final three figures in the first proposed range. Work has also begun on developing the concept material for the Malign daemonic pantheon, though this has proved more challenge. However, serendipity has caused the creation of a proposed range of Chaos Steeds and you can see a concept below. These are planned to scale up to '80s mounted figures to help those of you forking out an arm and a leg for the original ones, these may well make a good substitute.

Thoughts and opinions are always welcome.

Love that concept art for the mount...that is one evil looking beastie! If it scales with the Chaos steeds I would certainly consider a couple to mix into my Chaos Knight regiment.

It sure is fun to watch this project come together so fast!

Cheers,

Blue

ohh, this is reading 5 outta 5 Fonzies on my coolometer
They steeds are a great idea, love the concept sketch, especially if they look that dynamic once sculpted, too many of the old citadel horses are let down by being a little lifeless
Roll on the kickstarter!
