My pack of hobhounds

This is the hobhounds I finished basing a few days ago. A rather unorthodox take on the hounds, I know, but I felt they needed something different to really stand out as the vicious killers they are. That something else turned out to be a mix of baboon and hyena. I’m pleased with the result but I must admit that the inherent goofiness of the figures bugs me a bit. Oh well, off they go to Ashak Rise.

Any thoughts?

I think its a brave choice - and I think on the whole, because of the way you've based them, it works well, really gives the feel of the old school a bit more when folks were that bit more adventurous with the paint schemes ( I'm thinking the porcelain like paint schemes in the old Eavy metal)

I love it, they look like a pack of mandrills! Fierce!
Indeed they do.
Your sense of adventure has certainly paid off with these nasty buggers!

The baboon scheme is great! A stand-out choice & they will complement the rest of your goblinoidy forces nicely.
Solid job on basing as well. Those pups are a bit on the smaller side, but you really made them fit the 25x50 well.

Thanks for the supportive comments.

It's funny, I never thought of them as particularly small, but I guess you're right.
