My Oldhammer armies yet to see the brush

Well I've decided to do an inventory check and then a reality check, since I've no idea when I'll have the time to start all my army projects. But in spite of this, I seem to be hoarding models almost obsessively... Anyone else find themselves doing this?
Two of the armies I dug out are Chaos (with a Nurgle influence) and Empire. Here's the chaos models I'll have to get ready for brushwork, there are warriors/thugs:

Some cavalry, a palanquin, beast of Nurgle and some other minions (Marauder giant is part of my greenskin army though):

Toad Dragon, will probably be used as a spawn or some such:

I do have some Nurgle champs already done from years back:

The other armies I've planned to start (or expand) are:

-Orcs&goblins
-Skaven (will be part of my larger chaos army)
-Undead
-Rogue Trader Orks
-Rogue Trader Squats
-Rogue Trader Imperial Guard
-Rogue Trader Chaos Renegades

Pics of the other armies to follow ;)

You are not alone (not from M. J.), I´d bet that 90% of the users here have exactly the same issues.

At least I have. And the longer I watch the different projects on the net, the more projects I would like to start myself

Nice brush skillz on those champs.

You have a Jabberwock in there!

I used to have one once as I once rolled a Chaos champion who's only companion was a Jabberwock with the mutation "limb transference" which happened to be it's mouth to it's groin - I took quite a slagging for that one - ho hum. Thankfully I didn't try to conversion!

I may be worng but I think it's the Jabberwocky here. The Jabberwock is standing if I'm correct but otherwise looks nearly the same. For conversions wher just a face is needed, the press mould solution is quite adequate, you don't mess with the original and if you fail, then no big deal,

Awesome collection but even better brush skills.
Your old school paintjobs look like they are ripped from the pages of old Whit Dwarfs!

Thank you, although it must be said I am a slow painter and never quite managed to break away from the Oldhammer paint schemes and techniques. But I am a collector and not a Golden Demon competitor so why should I? ;) M

Agreed!
Personally. I think a lot of high end painters over do it very often.

Lovely painting & the gloss finish is perfectly retro. 8-)

Quick question on the Meier Black Dragon: Did yours come with the smaller wings? There are two sets of wings for this model & the DG4 pic from the Journal shows the extended ones. I know Ral Partha also distributed this model & wonder if they, or Citadel, had the smaller set as an option.

Hmm interesting, didn't know that. Mine are the small wing version.

Nice painting, with a very old school scheme.
Just a little thing : please, give your mini a heavy coat of matt varnish, and they will be perfect !
